Dear Elder and Sister Tietjen: It is good to know that you arrived safe and sound! Your winter is so much better that Idaho's! Your flat looks comfy and just the right size. And a Kmart...wow...any Walmart's around? Your mom is doing well. She never ceases to amaze me. She has been sleepy the last couple days but she is storing up energy to keep me on my toes the next few days. She is eating well and gets around in her merry walker quickly! She loves you in her very special way and I know that within her heart she is so proud of you. I love her so much and I am glad she is in my life. I certainly wish the best for the both of you and to being doing the Lord's work is the best tribute you can give to your mother and father. They will be your guardian angels! May our Heavenly Father bless you and guide and protect you.
Winter!? Lucky you. Did you pass any wrecked cars hanging in the trees? I always thought that was a great way to warn drivers not to drink and drive ... but maybe those car were just driven by Americans who forgot which side of the road they were supposed to drive on.
